Brent Tate urges cowboys to sign new coach

Queensland Origin star Brent Tate has urged North Queensland to appoint a new coach ASAP.

While understanding that the Cowboys board face a tough decision in replacing the unwanted Neil Henry, Tate feels they need to move quickly to take the club in a new direction.

Kevin Walters, Paul Green, Trent Barrett, Brad Arthur and Andrew Dunemann have been mentioned as contenders for the job.

They're all currently assistant coaches at other NRL clubs.
