Manly Sea Eagles beat Sharks 24 - 18 in NRL semi

Manly is through to an NRL preliminary final showdown with the Rabbitohs after a courageous 24-18 win over Cronulla at the Sydney Football Stadium on Friday night.

Anthony Watmough capitalised on poor Cronulla defence to open the Sea Eagles' try account on 14 minutes, before Michael Gordon responded for the Sharks nine minutes later.

Kieran Foran put Manly 14-6 up before half-time, before Jorge Taufua scored the Sea Eagles' third six minutes into the second stanza.

Andrew Fifita then chased hard to touch the ball down just before running into touch to keep the Sharks in it, before Daly Cherry-Evans and Jonathan Wright exchanged tries.
