Super League to be cut to 12 teams

The Super League will be cut to 12 teams from the end of next season, meaning two sides will be axed from Rugby League's top flight.Clubs voted down a proposal to cut the division to just 10 teams as the restructuring of the game enters the final stages.
But they have agreed to reduce it by two, although the format is yet to be decided.
It is reported to be a straight battle between a two-division, 24-team system with promotion and relegation, or two divisions that - halfway through the season - form three eight-team three gr
oups for a play-off system.
