Holly Myers scored three tries as England beat France 42-6 in their penultimate Women's Rugby League World Cup match at Batley, West Yorkshire.
Their hopes of winning the tournament had already ended earlier this week with a 34-16 defeat by New Zealand.
But England, who will meet France again on Sunday in a third-place play-off, put Tuesday's loss to one side and ran in eight tries.
New Zealand beat Australia 14-6 and will also meet again in Sunday's final.
Myers crossed for an early try and added a third after Katie Cooper-Birkenhead before Natalie Gilmour converted her own effort to put England 22-0 ahead at the break.
Danielle Titterington, Amy Hardcastle and Tara Stanley all scored before Myers touched down a third and Elisa Cirua intercepted and ran the length of the pitch for France's consolation. BBC
