PNG Rugby Football League has announced that Team Kumul will be playing a pre-World Cup match against Scotland before the World Cup.
The match will be played on the 19th of October in Featherstone, England. 

Team Kumul’s train-on squad will have to impress the national selectors and coaching staff to book a spot in the final team.  

The attitude and improvement of the players from recently held camps has impressed the coaching staff.

The team will have a final camp for 36 players next month. The players will divide into two squads to play against each other in Port Moresby.

This will book the players a spot in the PM’s XIII match on the 29th of September at Kalabond Oval in Kokopo. 

The finalized squad will be announced for the World Cup after the PM’s XIII.  

The selected players will have a week’s rest before returning to camp on October the 7th. A fundraising dinner will be held the following week.

The team departs for the UK on October 14th where they will prepare against Scotland before going into camp for the teams opening 2013 World Cup match against France.
