Queensland halfback Cooper Cronk has been ruled out of next week's State of Origin game two clash due to a knee injury.
Cronk is expected to be sidelined for up to a month after scans revealed a meniscus tear in his right knee.
"Scans this morning revealed the extent of the injury with Cronk to undergo surgery on Tuesday morning," a Melbourne Storm statement said.
Controversial Manly playmaker Daly Cherry-Evans is expected to slot in for Cronk when the Queensland Origin team is announced in Melbourne on Tuesday.
